
Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training (Construction Specific)
This Health and Safety training has been developed as an awareness program for workers in the construction industry. It is construction specific and exceeds the content requirements for Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training set out in O. Regulation 297/13 by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
Upon completion of this program, participants will understand:
• That health and safety in the workplace is “everyone’s concern.”
• That it is vitally important “all of us” hold our personal health and safety and that of fellow employees, subcontractors and the public, as our
highest priority, along with care and consideration for our environment.
Participants will better understand the duties and responsibilities of:
• Employers
• Supervisors
• Workers
• The three workers rights
They will be more familiar with some of the workplace hazards and illnesses that can be found in the construction industry.
Participants will also be familiar with the “Right to Refuse” and “Reprisal” legislation and the steps of the refusal process.

They will have a better understanding of the roles of the Health and Safety Partners in Ontario.

WHMIS legislation will be addressed particularly identifying some hazardous chemicals found on construction projects, as well as some Occupational Diseases and latency periods. Our e-learning programs are presented in a narrated video format using a variety of pictures to support the content. Participants are required to answer a series of questions inserted at several points throughout the program.
· Participants have the opportunity to review and/or change answers before final submission
· We have automated exam scoring
· Final scoring is presented upon submission and e-mail receipts sent to participants
· Participants can order a plastic training card. Upon request a standard certificate of completion training card will be issued OR a Gold card
indicating they have achieved the highest standard of performance. (90% or greater).
· Data routing and maintenance is provided.
· Online reporting and charting is available
· Reports are available in Excel, CSV or TXT format
· Both Desktop and Mobile friendly (QR Codes provided for Mobile links)
